3^rd party logistics providers (3PL’s) are often required to set up proximity warehouses for the purpose of JIT (just in time) delivery of raw material to manufacturing sites. In addition, many 3PL companies provide brokerage services to help companies export materials to non-local sites for manufacturing and import finished goods back into the home country.
