There are times when businesses must track serial numbers. This happens in circumstances where businesses need to provide warranties on their products, to trace the source of an item in case it fails and causes personal harm, or to build certain sub-assemblies with products that have a range of serial numbers. Serial numbers can provide great value.

At the same time, tracking serial numbers can be tedious. TrackStock makes it easier. It tracks serial numbers even if you need to track them on a FIFO, or first in, first-out, basis. FIFO requires someone to find a specific serial number from the bin full of items.

TrackStock provides you with three options on how to track serial numbers to provide you with complete flexibility.

The three choices are:

1) find a specific serial number to pull,

2) suggest the right serial number to pull, and

3) does not matter which serial number is pulled.

Track lot numbers and expiration dates with ease

Having an easy scanning app that allows the user to receive, pull, and/or count lot numbers and expiration dates removes the friction from managing this inventory.

For lot numbers

TrackStock allows you to scan the item, with its lot number, into inventory. You can get a list of the lot numbers that are still in inventory, which is especially helpful for cycle counts because it means the user doesn't have to key in the lot number to count it. If the user has to key in the lot number to count it, he could miss-key the number and then there would be a new lot number in the inventory that would never be pulled because it is incorrect.

When managing wire and cable, TrackStock allows you to assign a unique lot number identifier to each spool. 

This simple step lets you:
